Cookie Policy
Last updated 2026-08-26
This site sets no advertising cookies of its own, in any region, ever. One third party does set its own: the operator's booking calendar, described at the bottom of this page. What follows is the complete list.
The Full List
_gaand_ga_<id>— Google Analytics 4, used to count a returning browser as one visitor rather than several. Set only where analytics consent applies. Expire after about two years.kt_consent— localStorage, not a cookie. Holds your Accept or Decline choice for 180 days so the banner does not ask again.kt_cc— sessionStorage, not a cookie. Caches the two-letter country code for the current tab so the region check runs once. Gone when the tab closes.- GetYourGuide's own cookies — set by the booking calendar embedded on pages that show live dates, and only on those pages. They belong to GetYourGuide, not to this site: we cannot read them and we receive nothing from them except a credited booking.
How the Region Check Works
The country is read from Cloudflare's /cdn-cgi/trace endpoint. That request is same-origin and sets no cookies. If it fails, times out after 1.5 seconds, or returns nothing recognizable, the banner is shown anyway — the safe default is to ask.
Third Parties
Tour photographs are served from GetYourGuide's image CDN. Requests for images reach their servers, as any embedded image would. Fonts are self-hosted on this domain, so no font provider sees your visit.
The Booking Calendar
Some pages embed GetYourGuide's availability calendar so you can see live dates and prices without leaving. It is a frame served by GetYourGuide and it loads on every visit, whichever choice you make in the banner. That is deliberate: the calendar is the part of the page you came for, and gating it would leave a blank box exactly where the answer belongs. The banner above governs our analytics, not this frame.
If you would rather it never loaded, block widget.getyourguide.com in your browser or content blocker. Nothing else breaks — every tour on the page also carries a plain link with its price, and the comparison tables are ordinary HTML.
